The game of the week in the premiership was the Arsenal versus Liverpool game which ended in a 1 – 1 draw with James Milner scoring for Liverpool in the 61st minute while Lacazette equalised with a spectacular goal for the Gunners in the 83rd minute.

Manchester City thrashed Southampton 6 – 1 with Sergio Aguero becoming the second fastest player after Alan Shearer to reach 150 premier league goals as he and Raheem Sterling inspired the team to victory in the absence of Kevin De Bruyne.

Manchester United defeated Bournemouth 2 – 1 away from home with Marcus Rashford scoring the stoppage time winner.

Newcastle battled to a first win of the season as they beat Watford 1 – 0 at St. James Park.

A late equaliser by Guido Carrillo prevented Athletico Madrid from an away win as they were missing Diego Costa, Koke and Godin to muscular problems.

Real Madrid played uninspiring but still got two late goals to defeat Valladolid at the Santiago Bernabeu with an own goal in the 83rd minute and a Sergio Ramos penalty in the 88th minute.

Barcelona defeated Rayo Vallecano 3 – 2 away from home scoring twice in the last three minutes to open a 4 point lead at the top of the log.

Luis Suarez scored first in the 11th minute and the team produced a last gasp come back through Ousmane Dembele who drew them level in the 87th minute and then Suarez scoring the winner in the 90th minute.

Juventus remain the only unbeaten team in the Serie A as they won again defeating Cagliari 3 – 1 with goals from Paulo Dybala in the 1st minute, Cuadrado 87th minute and an own goal in the 38th minute and this makes it their best start ever in the Serie A.

Inter defeated Genoa 5 – 0 at the San Siro with 2 goals from Roberto Gagliardini and a goal each from Joao Mano, Matteo Politano and Radja Naingolan as they won a fourth home league match in a row for the first time in a year.

AC Milan defeated Udinese 1 – 0 away from home with Alessio Romagnoli scoring the last minute winner in the 7th minute of extra time to give the Rossoneri a 3rd straight Serie A win.

Lazio spanked SPAL 4 – 1, Chievo lost 0- 2 to Sassuolo, Torino defeated Sampdoria 4 – 1 away from home and Napoli defeated Empoli 5 – 1 at the Stadio Sam Paolo with Martens scoring an hat trick.
